With some uncertainty, they will present themselves by imitating the stratification of the parent brand, in two versions. Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro will make an appearance tomorrow May 21 at a dedicated event in London, see what we can expect.

Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro, the echo of Huawei double reference

As every year for a few, the smartphones Honor reference arrive a few months after the landing of those of reference and they do it with similar characteristics. This includes the Kirin 980 processor, the most powerful of the brand and competes with the famous Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. A basic version with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory is also expected.

The first line of honor receives a Pro

As we read in WinFuture, the smaller Honor 20 would have a diagonal of 6.3 inches and a Full HD + resolution. This filtration, which comes from the hand of Roland Quandt – one of the most reputable sources in the industry – also refers to the IPS LCD technology for its front panel. The Pro version should be bigger.

As we see in the picture, there will not be fingerprint sensor in its rear part. When it is prevented by LCD technology, it will not be located under the screen either. That’s why they were forced to place it from one side, which is not unprecedented but it is unusual. The Honor 20 will also leave out “notch” in favor of a front camera pierced on the screen. It is also expected that there will be versions with a more daring design than usual.

It’s easy to guess from the promotional material of Honor that these smartphones they will have up to four cameras on the back. This is not exactly the camera configuration that becomes habitual. They would be driven by a 48-megapixel main sensor with a 16 MP super-wide angle lens, and would have an innovative 2 MP macro camera and a zoom camera that would probably avoid the most advanced periscope system.

So that would be the ToF sensor at least in the Pro version we saw in the Huawei P30 Pro.

It is also expected that the main camera will be accompanied by optics that, for the first time in a smartphone, would reach an opening f / 1.4. We have already seen this Sony 48 MP sensor in other Huawei phones, but with a slightly lower brightness in f / 1.8 with the Nova 4.

Other features would include the usual of a high-end device, which starts with a generous 3,750 mAh battery for the Honor 20 with a fast charge of 22.5 watts. Its release version would be EMUI 9.1 on Android 9 Pie, although the subsequent update is unclear.
