Indian legendary playback singer Lata Mangeshkar had her last breath today. She was admitted into Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital soon after infecting with Covid-19 on January 8th.
Her health condition started getting deteriorated and she was kept in the ICU for a long time as it became more critical. In one of the updates from the hospital, the doctors said, “Lata Didi’s health has worsened again. She is still in the ICU and will be under the doctor’s supervision. For the last 27 days, she is admitted into the hospital and her treatment is going on.”
Lata Mangeshkar was showing signs of improvement last month but was kept under observation of the team of doctors headed by Dr Pratit Samdani.
Lata Mangeshkar made her debut in 1956 and sang 186 songs in her career that spanned over six decades.

Telugu and Tamil legendary singer Rao Balasaraswathi Devi accused Lata Mangeshkar for grabbing the singing opportunities from her in Bollywood.
The rivalry of her sister Asha Bhosale involving music composer OP Nayyar is well known.
