Step 4: After a while, you will see a message pop-up that says, ‘Developers options is turned on’. Now tap on ‘Override force-dark’. Doing this works on enabling the dark theme to the other apps.
Step 5: Dark mode on WhatsApp is enabled now. However, you still need to change the wallpaper in the chat threads to enjoy the dark mode to the fullest.
Step 6: To change the theme, go to WhatsApp settings, then to Wallpaper, and then select ‘None’. You are good to go now.

How to enable WhatsApp dark mode on iOS
Step 1: Go to settings, and then to General, then to Accessibility, then to Display Accommodations, then to Invert Colours, and then select Smart Invert.
Step 2: You have just now enabled dark theme on all the apps in the device including WhatsApp.
Step 3: Just like in Android, you have to change the Wallpaper to enjoy the dark mode on WhatsApp to the fullest. To do this, go to WhatsApp settings on your iOS device, select Wallpaper and then select None.
